Musee Cernuschi – city of Paris Museum of Asian Art

In Musée Cernuschi we discovered two different exhjibitions. A temporary one and a permanent one.

The first one is a show of paintings from a couple of famous Chinese artists: Xu Beihong, Lin Fengmian, Pan Yuliang, Chang Yu, Zhao Wuji etc. The forms are painting, charcoal drawing to sculpture. For example, the picture on the leftBeng Ma Tu —Xu Beihong  http://www.google.com.hk/imgres?q

The mane of the horse is waving; the tail is flying in the air. We cannot believe it’s only drawn by Chinese brush and ink. You feel like the horse is running out of the paper, to go his own way to a wide grassland.

tThe theme of the other part is "Second Nature", bringing forth integration of western culture and eastern culture with a variety of forms. Walk along the stairs to go up, we arrive to the second floor, the Chinese gallery.  It displays Chinese old vessels which are arranged by the dynasties: The Neolithic Period, The Shang Dynasty, The Zhou Dynasty, The Warring States Period, The Qin Dynasty, The Han Dynasty, Han-Wei-Sui and Tang, The Liao and Song Dynasties etc. It shows vicissitudes based on vessels' shape, material, color and grain. Look at the following wine glasses; does it create an image of celebration in your mind?  If not, maybe you should go and feel the atmosphere yourself.
