There is an exhibition about plastic art in Filles Du Calvaire from 30 November 2011 to 28 May 2012.
All works were designed by Emmanuelle Villard, a very contemporary plastic artist. This time the works do not just exist in the frames but exist among the plastics, glue, patterns and sculptures. Single tiny beads, shimmering powder, geometrical-shaped shiny paillettes and strings of beads, showed us the transformation of luxury appearance.
Emmanuelle Villard used a simple way to express her concept. She drew a background color first, and then smeared glue on the board, stick all the beads onto it to mix them and look beautiful. They just look like paintings and create a dreamy effect. She also uses some special ways to make her works look more different, for example she puts some wrinkle paper on the board then uses the spray paints to spray on the board threw the paper, making beautiful effect .
There are not only some magnificent aesthetic paintings but also very abstract and contemporary works. Emmanuelle Villard prefers to use disorderly things to express the inner world. Face to her works, we will dissociate between charm and repugnance. Her works just look a little bit bizarre, but the very works already changed some feelings in our heart.
